Aerial photographer David Taylor has an individual approach to photographing the landscape. His photography is a unique glimpse of light in motion on the ever changing landscape.

From a birds ewe view from 500 to 9000 feet altitude in my Cessna 210 I want to link the wonders of digital technology to the patterns of the landscape with my connection to the land.

The camera I currently use is a Cannon 5D.

My work has taken me all over Australia. Despite the long distances of flying time I am in constant awe of the terrain beneath and find it totally absorbing. The colors and patterns are breathtaking.

David's Grandfather established the famous Pooginook Merino stud 75km north of Jerilderie in 1912. The Taylor family has always had an intricate understand and appreciation of the land and climatic conditions. David and his forefathers accepted and respected natures ways and it's ability to always have the last say.

Since 1992 David and his wife Gillian managed Pooginook based on Holistic management. A planned grazing process where environmental, financial and social aspects were considered in all decision making. This framework formalized their understand of the power of nature to heal and achieved some wonderful environmental outcomes in that time. The family sold Pooginook in 2007 and David has pursued his interest in land management on their property Bibbaringa east of Albury.

David is available for private consultation work. He connects with the people that manage the land and the message they want to portray. He has worked extensively with pastoralist, graziers and tourist operators achieving a perspective of the landscape and its management.

David owns a Cessna 210 aircraft and has over 2500 hours of flying experience. On these trips he has taken unique glimpse of light in motion on the ever changing landscape. The patterns of nature from an artistic perspective are always enchanting.
